New FCC Legislation for Voice Campaigns– Know the Facts
The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has recently enacted tougher rules for businesses that send voice calls to protect the individuals that receive them.
Before, companies with existing business relationships were exempted from restrictions, but that’s no longer the case.
What has changed?
- Businesses can only send voice broadcasting campaigns to their customers with granted consent.
- Businesses must give their recipients a quick and easy way to “opt-out” automatically.
- Calls to mobile phones are still restricted unless consent is granted by the recipient.
